Color map of this area, only. Approx. 10 1/2" x 16" overall size. from Petermann's Geographische Mitteilungen, Schnellpressendruck v. C. Hellfarth in Gotha. Small, faint previous ownership stamp on one of the back (blank) panels of the map of collector Dr. George R. Brush, U.S. Navy; served as a surgeon and medical inspector from 1861-1894 & often on-station in various locales in Japan; he has noted a couple of dates on the map, journeying from Ozaka to Nara in 1889. A little splitting along old fold lines; in good condition.
