According to the Show Committee Introductory, this was the second exhibit of the Society, the first was held in 1907; the "...object and aim...is first to bring the gardening element into closer communication and through their intercourse interest everybody possible in beautifying individual resident grounds and thereby the village at large..." With a list of the officers of the club, various committees, rules and regulations of exhibiting, the premium list with detailed listing of special prizes, and with specifics of awards for arrangements and plants, from table decorations to funeral design, 327 categories in all to be considered. Also with an article, "Pruning Trees and Shrubs." Valuable Suggestions from One Who Knows How to Properly Care for Ornamental Shrubs, Shade Trees and Orchard Fruit Trees. (Read by Owen G.
