Both notes typed and sent to the Warm Springs Foundation oft-visited by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in an effort to the ameliorate the effects of his polio condition: May 28, 1937 "Gentlemen: in the examination of your statements of Mr. McIntyre's account for the period March 19 to 26, as turned over to me for payment, I note a balance of $ 48.38 brought forward which I presume represents the amount due for the period March 12 to 18. As I find no itemization of this amount I wonder if you would be good enough to furnish us with such a statement, and oblige. Very truly yours, (signed) Frank K.
