(DAB), here stating in "Border Lines": "...science is the topography of ignorance..."; bound in red pebbled cloth covered boards, red leather spine and corners, gilt ruling, gilt titles and spine compartment floral spray designs, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers; a mid-nineteenth century British leather binding by W.
