Bookplates on the front endpaper of the Kennebec Natural History and Antiquarian Society (and in turn loaned by their Trustees to) the Cony Female Academy in Augusta. Laid-in is a page of hand-written notes, contemporary with the publication, on very good quality paper. Approx. 5 1/2" x 9 1/2" size; bound in plain gray-brown paper covered boards & spine. Some edge, tips wear and rubbing to the binding; bottom spine end chipped away; occasional spotting & foxing. In good condition.
