This benefit event was also widely supported by advertisement revenue from local businesses in Johnstown, Gloversville and Amsterdam N.Y., including a full-page ad presentation of Steeple Jack, The World's Greatest Aerial Artist, "...famous the world over for painting Church Steeples, Smoke Stacks, Flag Poles Etc. Crosses Gilded and Replaced..." Jack lists references for St. Patrick's cathedral in NYC at 355 feet and the flagpole of Faneuil Hall, 250 feet. Printed at the offices of The Johnstown Daily Republican, A.E. Blunck, editor & publisher. Approx. 6" x 9 1/2" size, oblong format; dark gray-green stapled & decorative silk cord-bound paper covers, lettered in gold and with the 'Kirmess' title embossed in a lighter green oval on the front. Light wear, old fold lines, dustiness; in very good condition.
