Variously paginated; with the banquet food offerings and the program becoming more elaborate over the years. Each menu cover with a color photographic illustration of a dramatic South American scene; lithographic printing by K.N. Inc. The four menus are for the 1952, 1954, 1955 & 1958 Joint Pan American Day Observance Banquets, "....Honoring the Latin American Republics, the Philippine Republic and their Consular Representatives in San Francisco Pan American Association, Inc. of Oakland, Host." The first two events were held at the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco; 1955 was held at the Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton and 1958 at the Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland. Various bands provided music: Merle Howard & orchestra; Ray Hackett; Gordon Heche and Jimmie Howard, along with other entertainers. The cuisine in 1952 was standard banquet fare; all the following years efforts were made to present a Pan American food array. Small previous ownership stamp of Marie E. Alves of Oakland, California, a prominently noted committee member in the menus' lists of guests & sponsors. Each menu approx. 10" x 13" size; stapled illustrated softcovers; three of the four menus with a decorative cord binding as well. Some edge-wear, dustiness, few pencil marks; in very good condition.
