New York City: Park Avenue Hotel, Not paginated but 60 + pages; illustrated in black and white, with illustrations of the hotel exterior and interior and New York City landmarks; several pages of advertisements at back; laid-in is a 4 1/4" x 14" (when opened) illustrated folding card for the Hotel, advertiseing Music by the Royal Hungarian Band every Evening in Summer and the Strictly Fire-Proof Park Avenue Hotel, Wm. H. Earle & Son Proprietors; another notice for the Hungarian Band tipped in later in the brochure, referring to their management by Carl Berger, and also notifying Guests in Whatever Floor that they can mail their letters direct, the house being equipped with the Cutler U.S. Mail Chute; an interesting and informative "view" of New York City hotel life towards the end of the 19th century, circa 1880; some edge, tips, spine ends wear to original paper wrap covers, detached, good condition.
