Mostly printed, in a fine engraved script, with manuscript details filled-in; acknowledging payment of a debt. Approx. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" size; this note is attached at top edge to a larger sheet, along with 2 checks; one to the W.G. Creamer Co. and the other to the McAnerny Co. The larger sheet dated 1878 and with seal is a printed notice regarding insolvency of John McAnerney and Henry St. George Offutt, the firm of John McAnerney & Co. and its assignment to Bentley D. Hassell for the benefit of the creditors, of which Creamer & Co. was one. Witnessed by Daniel F. Cooney.
