Circa 1915 Scrapbook Repurposed from a Ledger

F About 200 pages with scraps pasted in; nearly all are color printed, from various sources; the majority of these are of large size, many with only one or two items pasted-in to a page side. Including fashionably-attired women, advertisements for food and other products - Yeast Foam, Sunkist oranges, Wilson's ham, Sherwood Spring Coaster wagons, Jonteel Talc, Cream of Wheat, Postum Cereal and other businesses; Kewpie dolls; pictures of foods being presented for consumption, deliciously tempting pies, cakes, servings of roast meats and other dishes; also babies & older children at play; portrayals of domestic scenes, idealized family life of white middle-class America of the time, sometimes depicting black or white servants and with a few postcards tipped in, from American locales. Bookseller label at front endpaper of A-M Paris Libro Mayor. Approx. 8" x 11 3/4" size; green & red marbled paper over boards, green suede leather spine cover. Some edge, tips wear, rubbing to the binding; the tops of all pages trimmed as shown in the images; a few leaves with content cut out & removed; some wear, and soiling to contents; an interesting, varied and colorful curation of scraps of the time, in good condition.
