N.Y.; dated Oct. 2 1885 - May 25 1886. Family news concerning transfers and sales of land, speculations, selling lumber and the health of the family and other news from Edwin Maxwell to his mother Sylvia M. Maxwell in Buffalo. 4 covers included, with Harmony postal cancellations. Sardius Steward, son of John, Sr., at one time conducted the most extensive farming business in the county and Town Supervisor 1858 - 1860; his relationship to the Maxwell family is unclear. Old fold lines, light wear; writing legible and in very good condition. Item #26072
