(Frances Mayhew Rippy in the ODNB) With engraved frontispiece, title page illustration, historiated initial and other woodcuts, tail and head-pieces throughout. Approx. 9 1/4" x 14" size, bound in contemporary full leather, panel stamped in blind and with corner tooling. Both boards detached; spine covering dried, no labels; title page a little spotty & soiled; text with a few wormtracks in last few leaves, no loss to text; generally leaves are fresh and well-printed on quality paper stock.
