Wales-Lincoln Iowa: Published By Senior Class 1936, 1936. F Approx. 120 un-numbered pages; many printed only one side. Illustrated with 22 tipped-on actual photographs; including images of the administrative, faculty and custodial staff; the school building; the classes; athletic teams and activities. The photographs average 2 1/2' x 4 1/4" size, black and white snapshot style and taken very well; they are clear and are of professional quality. Wales-Lincoln was a consolidated rural school district in the village of Wales. The school was razed years ago, lost its high school to nearby Red Oak in 1960 and the elementary school closed in 1974. Previous owner name on front endpaper of Billy M. Woods; this copy with the typed-in ownership name of Mrs. Fred C. Woods on the dedication page. Approx. 8 3/4" x 11" size; post bound textured paper covers, with gilt decoration & date (very dulled). Some edge, tips wear, dustiness to the covers; the glue used for tipping-on the photographs has migrated to the following pages; couple of closed edge-tears, spots; overall, in good condition; with good genealogical data and for the interesting use of photography for this purpose, especially feasible for a smaller school's resources.
