The author used old deeds and proprietor's documents for his research in these and other locales. Useful genealogical information contained as well, on Pynchon, Graves, Sherman families and others as well as Native American tribes and individuals. Noted on the title page as 'Privately Printed.' Volume approx. 6" x 8" size; original brown cloth binding; gilt cover and spine titles, front cover with a gilt illustration of the "Ancient" watching the approach of John Oldham.
