The mill provided grinding for the local farmers, also for commercial interests, the Gay Bros. farms, Fletcher farms and others. In addition, wood-milling was done, with customers coming in for sawing and also buying livestock feed. With the handwritten name of E.H. Atherton on the front blank endpaper and the initials in pencil of E.H.A. on the front cover. Approx. 7" x 15 1/4" size; bound in tan cloth, black decorative outline in panels on front and back, all edges tinted red. Pages browned, several at front detached and a few interior pages loose. Not particularly fragile, in good condition and an interesting glimpse at this miller's business at the beginning of the 20th century in Cavendish Vermont. Good Hardcover (Item ID: 24997)
