Franklin, Virginia: Union Camp Corporation, 1966. F A promotional item created to extol this paper company's products, produced using Florenz Ziegfeld and his entertainment career as a basis. Using different papers, the company graphically explores his career and style; with 'his' business card inserted on the front of the art-deco illustrated portfolio folder cover, opening to show two 'Ziegfeld Girls' who are photo-illustrated on glossy stock, with 'tickets' to the show in 1925, die-cut 'follies' promotional, folding pamphlets on the Ziegfeld shows & girls, a 'note pad,' Fanny Brice's metallic 'star' and a flexible illustrated recording of the Helen Morgan song "Bill." The covers give biographical details on Ziegfeld, and the back cover identifies the Union Camp paper product used in the creation of each piece. Approx. 8 1/2" x 11" size. With the original cardstock mailing envelope from Union Camp (envelope darkened, worn). Light wear to the portfolio itself, ephemera & papers within are clean and in very good condition.
