Port Washington NY: The Knickerbocker Yacht Club, 1949. F 64 pages + (14) pages of club constitution & by-laws at back. Black and white illustrated throughout with imagery of significance to the club's development and history. Harold M. Lane Vice-Commodore Flag Officer in 1949 has inscribed "With all my love Harold M. Lane" at his photograph on the Flag Officers 1949 page of photographs. With list of members & their boats; many of these are illustrated and identified in the illustrations. The Knickerbocker Yacht Club began in New York City and moved several times, lastly to Port Washington on Long Island on the Sound, famously, each time also moving the original clubhouse and incorporating it within the new structures. Approx. 6 1/8" x 9 1/4" size; bound in dark blue-gray cloth covered boards, gilt cover titles and with color illustration of the club burgee.
