(With) a postcard signed dated 16 August 1996 from Japan resident-scholar Donald Keene sent to Robert S. Greene, "Dear Bob I received yesterday a catalogue of the new exhibition at the Archives in Yokohama. I thought you would be interested to know that the present director in his introduction wrote that it would have been impossible to stage this exhibition of books by early travellers to Japan without Paul's collection. Best wishes, Donald" - this referencing the extensive early Japan travel collection of Paul C. Blum, given to the YAH; Greene was Blum's nephew and instrumental in establishing the collection at Yokohama. Laid-in is a copy of the YAH newsletter # 53 which discusses the exhibition.
