The authors were part of the "...famous trip of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to their San Francisco Convention in the spring of 1892..." and felt that their narrative would be useful and entertaining to others; it originally appeared in "Engineering" magazine. Approx. 9 1/4" x 11 1/2" size; bound in gray-black cloth hardcover, with gilt cover and spine titles, cover designs, top edge gilt. Tips wear and rubbing-through to the edges of the boards, old dustiness & spots; part of the edge of the spine at top back chipped away, spine cloth ends chipped away as well.
