F 848 pages; useful index of subjects, index of texts and a voluminous index of stanzas containing the first line of every stanza, except the first, in each of the hymns and an index to the hymns themselves. With a separate title page and paginated consecutively is "The Ritual, the General Rules, and Articles of Religion, of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, also with the 1866 Nashville date; volume approx. 4 1/2" x 7 3/4" size; bound in original pebbled-finish gilt-decorated hardcovers, front cover with the previous owner name in gilt of Mrs. S.A. Corriger, all edges gilt; some edge, tips wear and rubbing to the binding, bottom of spine end chipped away, spine edges flaking; bit of a bend to the boards; in good condition, interesting Nashville imprint, immediately after the Civil War.
