F 86 pages; copy No. 2035 in the printing; illustrated with these architectural tile products throughout in black and white and color-accented drawings throughout; contents including information on sizes of glazed tiles, method of numbering & letter symbols, quarter rounds & coves, small & large radius combinations, bases, caps and returns, architraves and plinths, mouldings, miscellaneous trimmers, radius tiles, examples of setting plans, useful glossary; as an interesting sidebar to the compilation of the prosaically practical information found in the book, the United States Department of Justice, after a 2-year battle, required the Associated Tile Manufacturers to excise the list prices found in pages 79 -84; the association has consequently issued a tipped-in explanatory sheet "...Why Pages Were Cut Out..." and very bitterly expounding upon their disappointment in not being able to provide complete data to architects and specification writers and conclude that "...With this explanation for the mutilation of the book, this association desires to assure architects that it will continue to maintain all other phases of its comprehensive information service on tiles and tilework..."; another, loosely laid-in copy of the "Explanation" is present, printed on blue paper; the volume is 7 3/4" x 10 3/4" approx. size; previous owner name of Harry Abrahams June 1924 on front endpaper; bound in gray-green titled cloth; some drink-splatter, soiling, to boards, edge and tips wear; contents in very good condition and clean; interesting architectural tile history, along with the Justice Department case legal aspect.
