F Group of 6 photographs, all uniformly mounted on gilt-edged cardstock; scenes from Jamaica, including and titled on back of mounts as: "Native hut" (thatched huts, women & children, livestock); "Natives" (women carrying baskets, crossing river); "View" (palms, forest clearing) and another view, apparently in a botanical garden with trimmed vegetation and a large lily-pond; "Street" (not named, a town scene, locals at windows, long view of row of houses); "Brook" (a stream in rocky gorge, wooden bridge visible above); each identifier written on back in a contemporary hand in ink, also noting "Jamaica" with the specific titles; mount cards 7" x 9", the photographs 6" x 8"; images well-taken, clear; no photographer or studio noted; some edge, tips wear to mount cards, some tips bumped, one card mount with closed tear, not coming through onto the photograph side and another with a couple poke-holes on back, not piercing image; overall, in very good condition; interesting Jamaica, West Indies photographic history from the end of the 19th century, a nice group.
