F 261 pages; Danish text throughout; original printed orange paper wraps bound-in; approx. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" size; in full polished fine-grain caramel-brown morocco leather; gilt cover titles surrounded by a laurel wreath, back cover with gilt illustration of a crab, claws extended; gilt spine titles and rules, with a continuation of the laurel motif in a vertical pattern, gilt stars at top and bottom of spine, top edge gilt, gilt star-pattern roll-tool on the turn-ins, white watered-silk endpapers, brown silk page-marker; front endpaper with presentation 'Til Otto fra Vincent 23, Februar 1906" and the following endpapers with hand-written inspirational quotes from Goethe, Horace and with a small lightly colored initial letter; slight wear, little bit of color change to leather on the covers; in very good condition and a very pleasing binding with a natural-history motif.
