Greene - with also a holiday greeting card from both the Barnouw's and 3 copies of the memorial service card celebrating his life; (with) a group of four books by Erik Barnouw (1908 - 2001) American historian of radio and television broadcasting, including: 1945 Radio Drama in Action, New York Rinehart & Co., no jacket, wear and mottling of back cover cloth, bumped, with the ownership signature of Robert S. Greene (1922 - 2013) American writer, New Orleans jazz musician, documentarian, historian and teacher who wrote one of the earliest books on scriptwriting for television and taught the subject at Columbia, as did Barnouw; 1949 Handbook of Radio Production, Boston Little Brown & Co., 1st ed., with wear, no jacket, Princeton Club of New York library stamps, also with Greene's ownership signatures on endpaper as well as that of Bruce R. Powers (1927 - 2012) who was also in the communication field; 1966 A Tower in Babel A History of Broadcasting in the United States Volume I - to 1933 NY Oxford U. Press, 1st ed. in good jacket; and 1968 The Golden Web VOL II of that series 1933 to 1953, no jacket, light wear; a nice grouping of Barnouw works, especially with the association of co-educators and communications pioneers Greene and Powers.
