O'Neill, New York; with a facsimile signature of the general below the portrait; glued on to a paper sheet at some point; approx. 7" x 10 1/4" overall size; back of sheet with glued-on articles from the New York Sun of May 19 1864 regarding a 'bogus proclamation' (for more military volunteers), signed in type by Abraham Lincoln; the editor of the Sun pronounced it as a 'humbug' - a thousand dollar reward was offered for information leading to the conviction of the perpetrator; light wear, spotting, bit darkened; still in very good condition.
