"Les Maitres de L'Affiche" were reduced-size fine art poster lithographs of famous images of the Belle Epoque, 1895-1900, offered by subscription and never released as bound books; approximately 240 were done over a 60-month period and reflected the best of the exuberant poster art movement that swept Paris at the time before WWI; plate 15 3/4" x 11 1/2"; with the nicely impressed and artistic blindstamp of the "Imprimerie..." below on the right; this is Pl. 239 from the series, with the "Les Maitres..." stamp to left bottom margin; some darkening to paper; faint old damp-line at bottom 1/4" of the margin, does not near print and would matte out; in very good condition and colorful.
