Paris and London: Editions Du Belier, 1945. 259 pages; Limited edition No. 457, this example printed sur pur chiffon blanc; with brilliantly colored "au pochoir par nervet" illustrations in a humorous vein, imagery by Henri Monier; French text by Maurice Maindron (1857-1911) French naturalist, writer, collector; original illustrated paper wraps bound in a modern rose & gold fine paper. with dark port color morocco leather spine and corners, with a leather-onlay castle in tan leather & red, with some emphasis lines in blind, on spine, echoing Monier art within; gilt titles, top edge gilt; endpapers to match; some light edge, tips wear to the binding; some offsetting to the plates, colors still very bright; some light foxing-spotting, especially preliminary leaves; still an interesting and handsomely executed binding and most probably unique.
