Four volumes bound in two: (8) + 51 + 636 + (second book) 637 - 1339 + (50) pages of indices; Elzevir publication of this classic author; Latin with some Greek text throughout; printed double column; nicely engraved title page, of Cicero at oration or lecture scene; previous owner name of Martin Anton Christian Crone 1837, continuing names genealogically to a bookplated-owner of Ejnar Olsen, Pastor; (Evidently, Crone had written articles on ancient history, churches and was also a Danish churchman); some notes on endpaper, perhaps contemporary with Crone's ownership, Scandinavian (? Danish) language; bound in polished marbled-paper-covered boards, leather spines, titles with gilt lettering, all edges dyed a faded green; some wear and rubbing to covers, starting to split at hinge areas, solidly bound; good margins; contents with the occasional inkmark or spot, generally, very clean and in very good condition, fresh; in good condition overall.
