A large priced catalogue given to this subject, with 88 pages of text + approximately thesame number of pages of black and white illustrations of the books, bindings, facsimiles of pages of the catalogued items, including books of hours, manuscripts, collections of first editions of early French writers; some plates folding; text includes much bibliographica and descriptive information regarding signed bindings, provenance, literary history, more; no date but circa 1920's, OCLC giving conflicting listings, one for 1920, the other for 1922 apparently for the same item; paper wrap covers; approximateley 8 1/2 " x 11" size; some wear to edges and tips; front wrap and first few leaves detached, some loosening to structure; spine chipped and fragile; contents in very good condition and a very interesting catalogue of French books and their binders.
