Group of thirty-six (36) small-format photographs, three "series" of 12 each, all of Rio de Janeiro and environs by the photographer Theodor Preising. With the original paper packet-covers having the studio imprint of Photo Rotativo TP Sao Paulo on each. The images are titled in the plate, with blank backs. Views include street scenes of various areas of Rio: Placio Monroe, Av. Rio Branco (several), Hotel Gloria, Hotel Central, Theatro Municipal, Praia de Botafogo, Vista de Pao de Assucar, Entrada de Barra, Praia de Copacabana, Avenue Niemeyer e Gavea, Rua Paysandu, Jardim Botanico, Dedo de Deus, Palace Hotel and others. In the Serie 1 packet and included in the count are 2 panoramas, made of 2 individual images, of the vast Rio de Janeiro shoreline, taken from height. The images are approx. 2 1/8" x 3 3/8" size. The packet over-covers with a little wear; photos with only occasional silvering and are in very good condition.
