Knoche, R. Richon-Brunet, Richard E. Latcham in Spanish, German, French & English respectively. Lists of all the plates with paragraphs of further explanation, in Spanish & English language text and with several pages of text by Gerstmann. Previous owner gift inscription on front endpaper in English dated 1940 Santiago Chile. Volume approx. 9 1/2" x 12 1/4" size; the original illustrated and titled softcover paper wraps. Edge, tips wear and soiling to the binding; title page with old crease line and a little corner chip at top; map with couple of closed tears, repaired on the reverse with archival tissue. In good condition; the photographs are beautifully-composed artistic examples of South American travel photogravure of the time.
