Blois France: Seraphin-Mederic Mieusement, 1865. F. Each of these 27 albumen photos approx. 4" x 5 1/2" size, mounted vertically or horizontally on the page on a slightly darker shade, the whole surrounded by a thin rule-line and usually with an imprinted title identifier and nearly all with the Mieusement Blois studio imprint. The photographer had begun and ended his career in Blois and was known for his architectural photographic work. Each image tipped to its own guard and which is in turn sewn into the album. Approx. 10" x 13 1/2" size binding, oblong format; reddish-brown polished textured paper over heavy dense gray cardstock boards; no spine covering, boards held on by the cloth structure tapes only, cover paper much chipping and wear, especially the back. The photographs tipped-on to leaves of 3-4 pages of paper thickness - most of these papers are coming apart; several pages detached, edge-chipping, soiling and wear to the margins. The images in good to very good condition, some with extraordinarily fine detail, atmospheric and well-done. In good condition. Item #26017
