Sedan, France: Hector Husson, 1870. F. Large format albumen process photographic image of this view of the town hall and square in Sedan, with the statue of the Viscount of Turenne By Hector Husson. Laid down to thin cardstock, with the studio stamp in ink of Husson below the photo at bottom left; the title Sedan is imprinted below on the card mount. On the back of the mount is the small stationer's ticket of G. Tellier, 5, rue Napoleon, Sedan. Image approx. 6 3/4" x 9 1/4" size; the cardstock makes it approx. 13" x 15 3/4" overall. No date noted; circa 1870. Cardstock with a little spotting; image clear and well-taken, a good, detailed view of the front facade of the town hall, with several men in military or gendarmerie uniforms in front; other workers, men in front of the statue of Turenne; in very good condition.
