(publishers of the book) letterhead addressed to Robert S. Greene, sending the book with the compliments and signed by Mikio Kato, Senior Fellow at I. House Japan. The author-editor inscribing to Robert S. Greene (1922 - 2013) writer, New Orleans jazz musician, documentarian, historian and long an enthusiastic visitor to Japan while on his musical tours who often stayed at International House and was a supporter of their activities. The volume is a festschrift collection of writings published in honor of M.B. Jansen and includes pieces by Patricia G. Steinhoff, M. William Steele, Tom Havens, Mitani Hiroshi, Henry D. Smith II, Patricia G. Sippel, F.G. Notehelfer, Tao De-min, Ben-Ami Shillony, tributes by Homma Ngayo, George R. Packard, Haga Toru and also pieces by each of the editors.
