The subdivision of rooms into various categories according to their style of roofing and membering has also been touched upon in this Part...the importance of the architectural forms derived from Greek architecture, in their decorative employment in Roman and modern Italian buildings, is discussed, and in connection therewith the gradually progressive development of the architectural idea in the structure of the exterior and in the conformation of the room is traced in its essential features..." Nutt, N.Y. on front endpaper; bound in the original printed gray paper-covered boards, gray-blue buckram cloth spine and corners; some edge, tips wear and darkening to the binding; couple of short (1/2") closed tears, one or two spots in the contents; otherwise, very clean and in very good condition, a good classic architectural reference, with much explanatory depth to the text.
