Letter written by hand one side and a few lines, on Miss Isabel Ely Lord 176 Emerson Place, Brooklyn, New York printed letterhead; signed and dated, to a Mr. Roemer - acknowledging an invitation for the dedication of Roemer Hall (at Lindenwood College, St. Charles Missouri); Ms. Lord declined, as "...the invitation does not really belong to me, since I am no longer Director of the School of Household Science and Arts of Pratt Institute..."; Isabel Ely Lord (1871 - c. 1953) was a school director at Pratt from 1910 - 1920; approx. 8" x 10" size; old tape residue at side margins, bottom right corner chipped a bit, in good condition overall.
