C. 1899 Photograph on a stereoview mount card of a street scene, probably in the American West

United States: 1899. Snapshot format photograph, 2 ½" x 4", mounted on a standard stereoview cardstock mount; a young boy looking at the camera crosses a very wide street, very flat and prairie-like in the background, wagons visible in front of a general store, with the name 'Coles' just visible on the building's side; an upper window indicates that this was also the business location of G. Allen, Lawyer; a couple of rough-looking sorts sit slumped at the side of the building; Hector's Meat Market is also identifiable and a 5 & 10 cent store; just visible on the large storefront is "John Deere Ploughs"; no photographer or studio noted on the mount or photo; some wear to edges of card, old pinhole; photo with a tiny corner-chip; in good condition and interesting.
