Papadiamontopoulos (1856-1910) Greek poet, essayist, and art critic, who became associated with and was one of the most important voices of the poetic French Symboliste movement, probably at about it's creative peak at the time of this publication; here is the Manifesto of the Symbolistes, (who later became associated with the anarchist movement) and a literary 'conversation' between the Symbolistes and Anatole France, who epitomized the French man of letters at the time, an important exchange of opinions and ideas; on the back of the paper wraps is given a listing of works, "Publications Symbolistes et Decadentes" by Stephane Mallarme and Paul Verlaine; original printed paper wrap covers, enclosed in the original glassine protector over-cover; some edge, tips wear and darkening to wraps, edge chipped & detached; contents darkened and in good condition and good ephemeral historical material for this important poetic era; an OCLC search at the time of cataloguing revealed only 4 copies in institutions.
