He belongs more to the humorists and realists such as Voltaire and Swift than to his contemporaries..." (Chambers); previous owner pencil name on the endpaper of T. B. Felder, Jr. Greenwich Conn. and a few pencil notes in text of preliminary matter; original blue paper covered boards; about disbound, spine perished; boards worn & soiled; contents very fresh and clean; a good candidate for a rebinding.
