F. 338 pages + (4) + 24 pages of publisher's catalog at back, some unopened; Frank Harris (1856-1931) British writher, perhaps the most colorful figure in contemporary journalistic circles, an incorrigible liar, a vociferous boaster an unscrupulous adventurer and philanderer, with the aspect and outlook of a typical melodrama and an obsession with sex which got his autobiography of My Life and Loves banned for pornogrphy; with all perceived faults nevertheless of lasting influence on news publishing in the 20th century. (Chambers); with the publisher's blindstamp "Review Copy with John Lane's Compliments" on the title page top corner; bound in blue cloth, gilt cover and spine titles; some edge, tips wear to covers, spine cloth sunned to dull; first few leaves a little foxed; overall, very good condition.
