Group of literary booklets from the Caxton Society; averaging 25-35 pages each, usually with a frontispiece illustration; bound in illustrated paper wrap covers, side-string sewn; subjects include: A Dissertation Upon Roast Pig; Chinese Philospher's Son-Goldsmith; Poor Richard's Almanack; Thoreau, Character and Opinions; Essays of Francis Bacon; Wisdom of Chesterfield; Love Letters of Henry VIII; later issues notice a change of address of the Society to Pittsfield; paper quality changes and advertisements for various companies appear, including those for Elbert Hubbard and the 'Fra' publications; different color paper wraps; edge, tips wear & darkening of paper covers, some splitting and chipping; contents with a few stray pencil marks and otherwise clean and in very good condition and interesting early twentieth century literary history.
