
1863 Manuscript Suffolk County Town of Riverhead Legal Seizure and Agreement Regarding a Threshing Machine Owned By Salem Wells and John Wood
Riverhead Long Island New York: 1863. Interesting content; agreement made in 1863 with these gentlemen from Riverhead apparently taking over the use of a threshing machine that had been siezed by the constable; approx. 8" x 12" ; two sides, with old seals, witnessed by Daniel W. Reeve and signed by Wells & Wood; with the 25 cent Inter. Revenue stamp, dated in ink; old fold lines, some edge, tips wear, still very legible; very good condition, interesting Long Island occupational & community history. Item #14933
