Sprague-Smith (1861-1950) Painter, designer, lecturer, teacher born in Clinton, N.Y. studied at the Dwight School of Art, the Art Student League and in Paris, member of the Florida Historical Society, Audubon Society and All. Artists Florida, was the art instructor and principal at Veltin School for Girls, NYC, 1900-1925, director of MacDowell Association Peterborough New Hampshire, founder of the Bach Festival, Winter Park Florida.
