Basically, a fanzine produced by Modern Screen, who "picked a national jive authority" Frank Stacy, the New York editor of "Downbeat" to write the booklet: "...Frank knows all the big names, and, well- he's been around. Gets in on all the jam sessions and knows what makes a band swing..." Undated and circa 1946 from the internal evidence; the Glenn Miller article notes his U.S. Army commission in 1942 and does not note his death in 1944; Waring & Cugat are noted as born in 1940 and their (then-current) ages of 46. Previous owner has penned-in the ages of the performers in the margin at their respective article. Approx. 5 1/2" x 8"; black and white illustrated stapled softcover. A little surface creasing & wear; in very good condition.
