Pelletreau; the secretary acknowledging his letter and letting him know that Sperry is traveling and will see the letter upon return. Elmer Ambrose Sperry (1860 - 1930) American engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur, "...the recipient of more than 400 patents and numerous international honors..." (Brett D. Steele in the ANB) The letter is typed on good quality bond paper, with a watermark illustration of the famous gyroscope in a standing housing. Approx. 8 1/2" x 11"; old fold lines; in very good condition.
