A group of documents, detailing the history and usage of property on the Penn RR dock areas in New York on the west side along the river. Including: Two copies of the original Grant from the Mayor, Alderman & Commonalty of the City of New York to Stuart F. Randolph for these parcels. Also, a 4-page typed letter signed from Henry A. Robinson to Frank L. Sheppard, the General Superintendent of the P.RR Co. regarding the grant & its limitations, the various deed transfers over the years and aspects of the agreement with the City of NY that covered it, with a small manuscript map with colored lines depicting the area under consideration. (With) A typed letter signed on the RR letterhead from Thomas W. Hulme of their real estate department, to George P. Miller, the Principal Asst. Engineer, regarding the property. Typed documents approx. 8" x 10" - 12" size. A little wear; one of the grant copies on browned paper; old fold lines; overall, in very good condition.
