20 pages; with a list of the directors and officers at front; J.T. Odell was Vice-President. Illustrated with a small "Local Map" of the railroad; opposite is a detailed list of the railroad and steamboat lines controlled by the company; this gives the name of the line and branches, route start and termination; miles of road for each class of road named; double track, sidings and total track. Below this is information on the leased lines and trackage numbers. The report gives details of the receipts in operation, expenses, expenditures & payment. "...Within a few days of the close of the year 1893, your property passed into the hands of temporary Receivers...attachments were placed on the property at various points, the most disastrous of which was the levying on and taking out of the service of forty-three locomotives and three hundred freight cars at East Hartford...the closing of many large industrial establishments tributary to the line, and the heavy falling off in local passenger travel, all combined to present a gloomy outlook at the beginning of the year...the general poor condition of the freight equipment rendered it necessary for the Receivers to continue the work of rebuilding and thoroughly repairing..." Various Schedules provide detailed information on the operations of the railway. Approx. 6" x 9 1/4" size; stapled light green printed paper covers.
