Content with a bit of local Southold history: "...I don't think our family of Hortons were very strong for keeping records we had some old bibles but there was no writing of any kind in them and at that time there was no law that made people file births with the Town clerk so I don't believe you could find anything there..."; From the context, Cora had been trying to research information for an insurance policy on a family relation; also with the writer's health & family news. Approx. 6" x 9 1/2" size; light wear, old fold lines; mailing envelope soiled & with tears; in very good condition.
