(18) pages. The cover with "Vermont" title in pencil & red watercolor, along with the floral decoration initialed C.V. lower right. First endpaper with the name & date of Catherine Vickery December 1911. Color highlighted pencil-drawn map of the state of Vermont, noting significant towns & geographical features, the bordering states & Canada. Another map of the area of Rutland shows various named areas in block layout, to the Massachusetts border. Text handwritten in sepia ink gives the history of the state, peaks, lands, rivers; also the various agricultural products, manufacturing and quarrying occupations; the points of interest, notable people and a couple of pages on Bennington. Booklet approx. 6" x 9" size; accomplished on plain, heavy paper and side-sewn with dark green cloth ribbon. Covers with some soiling & discoloration, corners chipped a little; in good condition.
