Sent to John Lawrence (1719-1802) the Treasurer and dated October 11th, 1779, from John C(....- overwritten) of the Committee, being over-signed by Samuel Wyllys, Auditor (1739 - 1823). The reverse with receipted information for this order No. 1981 and noted further as the monies received in full in East Windsor Nov. 25, 1779 by Gurdon Elsworth, Constable (1737 - 1803) and Edward Grant, Selectman. Approx. 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" size; old fold lines; in very good condition.
